Dr. Sunil Mehra
Dr. Mehra has conceptualized, developed and provided technical inputs into numerous maternal newborn and child health projects and has contributed immensely to the policy and program dialogue in the country and the region. He has been part of many task forces and committees in India and globally. He continues to support formulation of strategies and interventions to address issues like adolescent reproductive and sexual health, maternal and child health, HIV and AIDS in the country and the region. A committed professional, Dr Mehra along with a few others has now conceptualized the 10K club to work towards ensuring right to health of children and adolescent.
Chief Operating Officer
Ashok Raisinghani has a Masters in Political Science and an MBA in Marketing. He has over 18 years of experience in executing and managing multi state development projects. His core areas of expertise include fractional franchise, advocacy, social mobilization and Project Management. He has experience of leading medium to large scale projects in various capacities for development organizations, Private sector, Government and UN with a domain expertise in driving projects for sustainable community development, family planning, HIV mainstreaming, financial Inclusion, RMNCH+A and BCC for birth spacing methods. He has also interacted with the media, civil society organizations and line management of field resource personnel to mobilize communities and advocacy to spread public health products/issues in most of the Indian states.
Prior to joining MAMTA as “Chief Operating Officer” in Delhi, Ashok has worked with IPE Global Ltd., Abt Associates, PATH, IIMPS-NABARD, United Nations Development Programmme (UNDP), National AIDS Control Organization (NACO) and Population Services International (PSI).
Dr. L.S. Chauhan
Dr. L.S. Chauhan, working as Senior Advisor in the Non-Communicable and Communicable Disease thematic unit of MAMTA. He has more than 38 years of experience in this area. Dr Chauhan, a Public Health Expert, has worked in senior positions in the Ministry of Health & family welfare, Government of India such as Deputy Director General of Health Services and National Program Director, Revised National TB Control Program (RNTCP), Director National Center for Disease Control (NCDC), Delhi etc.
During his tenure, RNTCP has achieved significant impact on Incidence, Prevalence and Mortality due to TB, Which has shown a considerable decline. Surveillance system of outbreak prone diseases has been streamlined and strengthened to give early warning signals of any impending outbreak or a public health emergency with appropriate response to contain it at the place of origin. Dr. Chauhan has played an important role in the development of National Program for Prevention and Control of Cancer, Diabetes, Cardiovascular Diseases and Stroke. In MAMTA, Health-Rise, Hepatitis B&C and Cancer Cervix projects which are being implemented in some districts of Himachal, Punjab, Manipur, Delhi and Haryana have been streamlined and are achieving the given targets.
Dr. Suresh Kumar Rathi
Associate Director – Chronic Care
Dr. Rathi supported many reputed national and international organizations and Medical Schools like The INCLEN Trust International for Neuro-developmental Disability among Children in India, St. John’s Research Institute and Centre for Global Health Research – CGHR for Million Death Study, Urban Health and Climate Resilience Centre for Heat and Health Action Plan, City Vulnerability Study and Disease Surveillance System, C. U Shah Medical College, Sumandeep Vidyapeeth University for medical teaching and research and currently MAMTA-Health Institute for Mother and Child in terms of implementation of various International and National Projects including HealthRise (Diabetes and Hypertension), cervical cancer, and Vihaan (PLHIV).
He is also founder member of Urban Health Society of India.
Dr. Rathi’s seminal work on myriad areas of Public Health reflected in his publications.
Dr. Ajay K Singh
Associate Director, Research and Evaluation
Dr. Singh has PhD and M.Phil in Population Studies from International Institute for Population Sciences, Mumbai. He has more than 12 years of research, monitoring and evaluation experience on issues of reproductive health and rights; the prevention of HIV, engaging men, health promotion and reducing gender-based violence with leading international organisation like Population Council, International Center for Research on Women, Population Services International, John Snow and Oxford Policy Management.
Dr. Singh has also published various articles in leading peer reviewed journals.
