Dr. Sunil Mehra, MD (Paediatrics) from Banaras Hindu University, India has been a practising paediatrician for over three decades. Has founded MAMTA in 1990 and with his vision expanded its work to 12 states of India and neighboring countries of Bangladesh and Nepal.
Dr. Mehra has conceptualized, developed and provided technical inputs into numerous maternal newborn and child health projects and has contributed immensely to the policy and program dialogue in the country and the region. He has been part of many task forces and committees in India and globally. He continues to support formulation of strategies and interventions to address issues like adolescent reproductive and sexual health, maternal and child health, HIV and AIDS in the country and the region. A committed professional, Dr Mehra along with a few others has now conceptualized the 10K club to work towards ensuring right to health of children and adolescent.

She has around 14 years of experience in social development sector primarily working on communications for development, managing national and international projects, advocacy, networking and capacity building especially in context of young peoples’ Sexual and Reproductive Health. For past seven years, she has been extensively working on child marriage, a major violation of child rights and a key social determinant to young people’s sexual and reproductive health.

Tina Khanna is a Regional Manager (Research and Evaluation) at MAMTA Health Institute for Mother and Child. She conducts research and evaluation of HIV and sexual and reproductive health programmes. Before joining MAMTA, she worked with the International Centre for Research on Women and worked on various evaluation and research studies including gender based violence, child marriage, water, sanitation and health and gender responsive governance. Ms. Khanna has published technical reports and research publications in international peer reviewed journal and presented in international conferences. Ms. Khanna holds M.A in Sociology from the Delhi School of Economics, Delhi University.

He has a degree in Masters in Social Work from AMU, India and a MSc. in Applied Anthropology from Oregon State University, USA has 12 years of experience in developing and implementing the programmes on the issues around Maternal, Newborn, Child Health & Nutrition (MNCHN). At present he is leading the MNCHN Unit at MAMTA and assisting in management of national and international projects on MNCHN. Ms. Leena Uppal, M.A in Social Work from Delhi University, has worked as a Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights advocate for the past ten years and led different networks and coalitions in the country, working on family planning, safe abortion and population policy. She has independently conducted qualitative studies in Assam, Nagaland and Manipur on ethics of Artificial Reproductive Technologies (ARTs) to highlight the impact of ARTs on women’s health and agency. She is currently engaged in family planning programme for young and low parity couples in Uttar Pradesh and implementing technical support programme in Cambodia on mobile technology to enhance prevention and linkage to HIV services among young people, through local partners. She is also implementing Rashtriya Kishore Swasthya karyakram (RKSK) - the national adolescent health programme in five districts of Uttar Pradesh. She is engaged in designing interventions and programmes to reach the most marginalized groups in the country (including the sexually marginalized groups) through mobile based interventions, which have been piloted and scaled to South-Asian countries like Indonesia and Cambodia.

He has been involved in large surveys on education and exclusion at NUEPA under MHRD in collaboration with University of Sussex. She is a UGC-JRF holder, and has taught B.Sc. and M.Sc. students of Anthropology during her tenure as a research fellow at Department of Anthropology, and had been involved in conceptualization and writing of various research proposals funded by top agencies such as DBT and DST. She has also given classes on ‘Basic concepts of Population Genetics and Human Genetics’ and ‘Molecular epidemiology in clinical research’ to M.Sc. (Clinical Research) students at Jamia Hamdard, Delhi during her association with INCLEN Trust International, Delhi. She holds expertise in the area of Non communicable diseases particularly CVDs, and hypertension, and is currently working in the area of RMNCH, and key populations. Her rich experience in her field is also evident from the good number of quality research papers that she has authored and co-authored. RK Singh earned his master’s degree in computer application (MCA) from Jorhat Engineering College (Dibrugarh University), Assam. He served for more than 18 years in the field of Information Technology and Information Systems.
