Dr. Sunil Mehra, MD (Paediatrics) from Banaras Hindu University, India has been a practising paediatrician for over three decades. Has founded MAMTA in 1990 and with his vision expanded its work to 12 states of India and neighboring countries of Bangladesh and Nepal.
Dr. Mehra has conceptualized, developed and provided technical inputs into numerous maternal newborn and child health projects and has contributed immensely to the policy and program dialogue in the country and the region. He has been part of many task forces and committees in India and globally. He continues to support formulation of strategies and interventions to address issues like adolescent reproductive and sexual health, maternal and child health, HIV and AIDS in the country and the region. A committed professional, Dr Mehra along with a few others has now conceptualized the 10K club to work towards ensuring right to health of children and adolescent.

Vinayakan E. K., possess Masters in Sociology and done his BA honours in Economics from Calicut University. He has over 18 years of experience in NGO sector and extensively worked on the themes of HIV/AIDS, Primary Health Care, Child Rights and Child Protection programs in India, Nigeria and Tanzania.
Prior to joining MAMTA-HIMC he has worked for more than ten years in Plan International (India) as Senior Technical Advisor-HIV/AIDS and Prevention of Child Trafficking. He also possesses experience in implementing Primary health programs in two States of Nigeria and closely worked with the Nigerian national AIDS Control Department in integrating Prevention of Mother to Child Transmission (PMTCT) component in to the Primary health program.

Leena Uppal has worked as a health rights advocate for the past eight years and supported different networks and coalitions working to address sexual and reproductive health and rights of the vulnerable populations in India. She holds a Masters Degree in Social Work from the Department of Social Work, New Delhi. She has assisted in coordination and evaluation of initiatives that focused on community and coalition building and advocacy including National Coalition Against Two-Child Norm and Coercive Population Policies and Coalition on Maternal Neonatal Health and Safe Abortion. The primary focus of her work has been on designing and implementation of community engagement programmes and community change initiatives. She is currently the core team member of Alliance Centre on Adolescent Health and SRH-HIV Integration, hosted within MAMTA. She is the lead person handling networking and partnerships within the Centre.
